The company received the 2012 Shell HSSE Achievement Award, in recognition of the companies HSSE performance and commitment to the Shell HSSE requirements. The Federal Employers Mutual Assurance Company (PTY) Ltd (FEM) also presented Diesel and General with an Award of Excellence for the outstanding achievement of a 3rd place, in the category medium risk, medium employer with an overall accident frequency of 0.00 and a loss ratio of 0.00.

Diesel and General achieved a Level 2 B-BBEE status and a 100% recognition when the company was evaluated in 2017.
